Clear advantage to valve enclosure

Boiswood can now supply the new Furon moulded valve box as an alternative to welded opaque valve enclosures. Its moulded, seamless construction in a clear material allows inspection of valves and connections without opening the box. The unique, patent protected design has a 5lb/in2(g) pressure rating for applications requiring pressure containment, or can be easily configured with optional vents for flowthrough ventilation. The valve box is ideal for use as a dual containment enclosure for valve manifolds used in the delivery of process chemicals for semiconductor manufacture and, in conjunction with the new Furon RDV/SMDV moulded manifolding system, provides a turnkey package for chemical distribution applications.
Other features include a symmetrical design that allows input/output connections on four sides; a pressure loaded Viton seal, lock out/tag out capability, and a right or left-hand swing door. The Furon valve box is also available in an FM 4910 compliant material, with spray bar leak detection mounting and provision can be made for a multiport pneumatic connector and a door interlock switch. Boiswood can also supply optional connections with slip fit or female pipe threads and 0.5 or 0.75 FNPT drains.
