The pressure independent control valve Cocon QTZ received the winners award in the category Heating and Cooling Technology in the design competition Red Dot Award : Product Design 2018.
The Cocon QTZ allows for automatic hydronic balancing of heating and cooling systems. Irrespective of differential pressure variations in the installation, the flow rate required for room temperature control is maintained at a constant level at the emitters. The Cocon QTZ is a combination consisting of a flow controller and a differential pressure regulating valve. The determined flow rate can be set easily. When equipped with an actuator, temperature controller or manual head, the valve can also be used for the control of another variable. It is especially used in chilled ceilings, fan coils, convectors and central or surface heating systems.
