College gains top industry award

PEDCAT, the training and consultancy subsidiary at Stockton & Billingham College, has become the first organisation in the country to be awarded ‘Centre of Expertise’ (for the PED) status by the Department of Trade and Industry. PEDCAT, which provides consultancy, research and training on the new European Pressure Equipment Directive, has been selected as a ‘Centre of Expertise in Manufacturing’ and as such will now work as part of the Department of Trade & Industry Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS).
