Configuration Wizard for Mechanical Linear Actuato

Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has released its latest firmware for the Compax3; version R09-40.

The Compax3 servo drive family now offers the fully digital Endat 2.2 feedback. This completes the list of available feedback systems for a wide range of servo motors.

The latest version of the Compax3 ServoManager software tool now offers the capability to configure mechanical linear actuators with the help of its component database. This database includes Parker’s new ETH electric cylinder family and makes it simple to configure and set-up these components with the Compax3 servo drives in just a few mouse clicks.

A source emphasised that in future it will no longer be necessary to look up data in manuals and catalogues in order to get the needed technical specifications such as spindle slope or inertia etc. Instead all this information is available via the database. This saves both time and money during the installation process of the system and also avoids costly commissioning errors.
