Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions has introduced a valve that significantly increases the life of PTFE diaphragms in all air-operated diaphragm pumps. The DEPA Slow start valve reduces wear and downtime by controlling the initial start-up speed of air operated diaphragm pumps, and decreases shock and stress levels placed upon equipment. A simple adjustment on the valve allows air to gently feed into the pump whilst greatly improving suction lift. The Slow start valve has full ATEX compliance for use in hazardous conditions and is compact and lightweight to allow for fitting in existing applications.
