Tens of thousands of AMPO POYAM cryogenic valves are installed in the most important LNG facilities in China and Henan province will not be an exception.
Sinopec, the owner of this important LNG storage center in China, and the diverse contractors in charge of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services of the different units of Henan LNG Emergency Storage Center have trusted in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacturing of more than 600 actuated and manual cryogenic ball, gate, globe, and check valves. The contractors have been in particular Xindi Energy Engineering Technology Co.Ltd, Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical Design Engineering Co., East China Engineering, China National Air Separation Engineering Co. Ltd, and CPECC.
Henan LNG Emergency storage center will be one of China’s largest natural gas storage and logistics center and will help ease gas shortage during peak times. In line with a shift to cleaner fuel, the facility will boost its capacity to store up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas. This storage facility is part of China’s long-term commitment to gradually replace coal use in non-power sectors with natural gas or electricity.
It has been the optimum performance of the cryogenic valves and the excellent service in previous collaboration projects with Sinopec which has made the customer entrust the award of this new contract to AMPO POYAM VALVES. Qingdao LNG was for example the first LNG terminal developed hand in hand with Sinopec, having supplied more than 2,250 highly engineered valves for the project, and it has also supplied several LNG valves for Beihai LNG and Tianjin LNG terminals, both property of Sinopec.
