CSA direct-acting pressure-reducing valves

CSA direct-acting pressure-balanced pressure-reducing valves are used in a wide range of applications going from water distribution systems, industry, irrigation, buildings, and more. Their main function is to reduce and maintain a downstream pressure to a preset and adjustable value regardless of upstream pressure variations.

Besides the user friendly design, which makes them easier to use and to be understood by field technicians, probably the most important technical benefit is their capacity of maintaining the downstream pressure value even in case of rapid manoeuvres such as level control applications or draw off for industrial process. CSA direct-acting pressure-reducing valves, thanks to their spring, piston technology, will always ensure and maintain the required pressure value as their reaction is not affected by any piping or pilots. Therefore, in addition to an increase safety and better performance, the risk of possible water hammer due to rapid closures, frequent on control valves with on-off regulation like level control, will be avoided.

The pressure reduction ratio of CSA direct acting VRCD and their resistance to cavitation, likely to happen with rapid changes in demand and pressures, is higher than any other automatic control valves meaning a reduced maintenance and higher reliability.
