DeZURIK has been recognized in two Top Projects Awards from Water & Wastes Digest (W&WD) magazine. The annual Top Projects Awards are selected “to honor the best of the best – the industry’s forward-thinkers and risk-takers,” according to the publication.
One of the projects being recognized was submitted by The City of Stevens Point WWTP/Stevens Point Brewery. Valves for this project were sold by Dorner Company and included Cast Iron PEC Valves, Glass Lined PEC Valves and a few KLS level sensor isolation valves. Scope included a lift station at the brewery and the force main to get the high strength waste to the plant.
The other project being recognized is the Narragansett Bay Commission in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. This project originated after a fish kill in 2003 in a local embayment. The commission was required to completely overhaul and upgrade their two wastewater treatment facilities to meet and exceed a newly imposed permit limit of 5mg/L total nitrogen. DeZURIK supplied pneumatically operated butterfly valves as part of this project.
DeZURIK was presented with these two Top Project Awards during a ceremony at the WEFTEC 2015 Conference & Exhibition.
