Double block valve passes test

Independently tested, Oliver Valves have successfully witnessed an extreme cryogenic and emissions test on a 20mm bore double block lever-operated flange-by-flange ball valve. This sampling valve efficiently passed all the requirements of the Shell test specifications SPZ 77/306 (cryogenic test) and SPZ 77/312 (emissions test, and is now accompanied by a test certificate certified by an independent body. The tests included: stainless body test at –40°C and ambient temperatures, peek seat test at –40°C and ambient temperatures, low pressure test at 1 barg, high pressure test at 148.3 barg and torque tests on both isolates in all opening / mid / closing phases. In addition, the valve was tested in both directions, allowing it to be used in either direction. The double block ball valve is therefore suitable to be used in extreme, low temperature environments and ideally suited for applications used in industries using oil and gas.
