Drydocks World services Overseas Laura Lynn ULCC

Drydocks World and Maritime World, international service providers to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, have completed work on one of the four largest super tankers, the Overseas Laura Lynn for Overseas Shipholding Group. Founded in 1969, Overseas Shipholding Group owns 66 vessels comprising crude oil tankers, FSOs and tugs.

The Overseas Laura Lynn oil tanker weighing approximately 442,000 t, with an immense capacity of loaded crude oil reaching 3,000,000 barrels, was docked for the first time during 2008 at Drydocks World – Dubai shipyard. The vessel previously known as Ti Oceania and subsequently renamed Overseas Laura Lynn has now completed the second visit to the yard. The scope of work entailed routine dock work including main engine overhaul, boiler cleaning, cargo and ballast valves overhaul, pipe renewal, cooler and heaters overhaul. Drydocks World facilities are among few in the world that can accommodate such super tankers. The project has been delivered according to the highest safety and quality requirements, efficiently completing all works in a timely manner with high client satisfaction.
