Raymond Cordewener was presented with the Duplex Excellence Award 2012 during the Duplex Seminar & Summit, which was held in Stresa (Italy) 26 & 27 September. The award was presented to Mr Cordewener by Mr Sjef Roymans, Conference Director at KCI Publishing who has worked with Mr Cordewener for over 25 years. Mr Roymans said the award was presented “in recognition of Raymond’s outstanding contribution to the duplex and stainless steel communities over several decades.” During the 2012 Duplex Seminar & Summit Mr Cordewener presented two Master Classes covering a wide range of duplex topics, and also moderated a workshop on heat treatment. In the past he has taken part in many conferences and industry events and is a recognized expert in the field.
Mr Cordewener worked at Antonius Vesselheads for over 25 years until 2005, and subsequently worked for Expoform and EES Vesselheads before setting up his own management and consultancy business. He is currently also employed by Brück Pipe Connections in the Netherlands.
