Dwyer Instruments new series IEF flow transmitter

Dwyer Instruments has released the insertion electromagnetic flow transmitter, series IEF. Dwyer’s insertion flowmeter can be utilized to accurately measure fluid velocity in applications such as: HVAC water monitoring and control, irrigation water feed monitoring, or clean water measurement.

The insertion flow transmitter offers flexibility without sacrificing accuracy. Each unit can be adjusted to fit into pipe sizes from 4 to 36 inches. With its integral temperature compensation, performance is unaffected by changes in temperature, density, viscosity, or concentration. In addition, a NIST traceable calibration certificate is supplied as standard with each unit.

The Series IEF is composed of a 316 stainless steel body shaft, fitting, and electrodes. It has been designed for a long lifecycle with minimal maintenance. This transmitter utilizes no moving parts that could potentially break and has electrodes that discourage fouling. It is also certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 standards, making it ideal for measuring flow in drinking water system components.
