Econosto Ltd (Flow and Sealing Technology Division) has announced the successful development and commencement of full production of their new PTFE sealing material range “Novus Uniflon” at its UK operation. Novus Uniflon is a biaxially orientated, filled PTFE sheet material available in three grades, Novus Uniflon 50,51 & 53 with sheet thicknesses of 0.75mm to 6mm and sheet sizes of 1m x 1m, 1.5m x 1.5m and 2m x 2m. Perhaps most importantly and uniquely is the availability of sheets of 2m x 2m, this allows large gaskets up to 2m diameter to be manufactured in one piece. These previously would have been welded from several pieces. This is a significant feature for the gasket industry enabling better gasket quality, performance and reduced costs.
