EL-O-MATIC actuators and InterApp butterfly valves

ORBINOX’s InterApp Butterfly Valves automated with EL-O-MATIC Actuators for a recent project on a chlorine plant.

Chlorine can be manufactured by electrolysis of a sodium chloride solution (brine). The production of chlorine results in the co-products caustic soda (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) and hydrogen gas (H2).

These arduous chemical applications demand the highest standards of product safety, perfect for the BIANCA series fluoropolymer-lined butterfly valve technology, manufactured by its sister company, InterApp, in Switzerland, in sizes DN32 – DN900 (1 1/4″ – 36″). The valve design guarantees ‘bubble-tight’ bi-directional isolation, with the packing system certified to TA-LUFT VDI 2440 (DIN EN ISO 15848), as confirmation of the fugitive emission prevention integrity. This batch of BIANCA fluoropolymer-lined butterfly valves is destined for use on a chlorine plant.

The valves have been automated with EL-O-MATIC Actuators (‘F’ series single-acting pneumatic EL-O-MATIC Acutators) and populated with the site specified controls.
