Hoerbiger-Origa has launched a new sizing program to assist design engineers with selecting electric linear actuators for specific applications. For example, should an engineer need to know which electric linear drive will move 12kg by 480mm vertically upwards in 3s, the EL-sizing program will give the answer in a few seconds. The design leads the user through the input of all technical information. The program carries out time-consuming calculations of static and dynamic movement parameters automatically. As soon as all the values have been entered or changed in the input field, a one button click brings up a list of all suitable linear drives within seconds. Complete linear drive/motor packages can also be selected. The program offers an automatically generated parts list, complete with order numbers. A clear display of the results, corresponding to the parameters entered, creates complete transparency.
