Emerson Process Management has been awarded a contract to provide ten Rosemount Analytical PowerVUE Fan/Damper Actuators to control fans for a new coal-fired power plant being constructed in Louisiana, US. The Rosemount Analytical actuators will provide control of the air through the furnace. The new PowerVUE design delivers 7200ft/lbs of torque and is now available in sizes ranging from 4in by 5in to 8in by 14in. PowerVUE Fan/Damper Actuators are suitable for a range of applications, including fan/damper actuation for utilities, steel mills, refineries, pulp and paper mills, and wastewater.
