Emerson wins valve order

Emerson Process Management has received a purchase order valued at more than USD 10 million for Fisher control valves to be used in Saudi Electricity Co.’s (SEC) 2800MW Rabigh Power Plant No. 2 project. The contract was awarded by Doosan Heavy Industries of Korea, the project’s EPC contractor.
Under the contract, Emerson will supply 670 Fisher control valves for boiler, turbine gas, multi-stage flash desalination, and selective catalytic reduction applications as well as for the balance of plant.
The work will also include valve engineering, project management, site start-up and commissioning support. The Rabigh Power Plant No. 2 project is scheduled to be operational by 2014.
