Servotechnic’s Haydon size 8 hybrid linear actuators are now available with encoder feedback. The encoders are suitable for both high and low-volume motion control applications. The encoder module incorporates a lensed LED light source and monolithic photodetector array with signal shaping electronics to produce the two-channel bounceless TTL outputs. The internal monolithic electronic module converts the real-time position, speed, and direction into TTL-compatible outputs. The encoder is offered in resolutions ranging from 120 to 330 cycles per revolution or 480 to 1200 pulses per revolution, with operating temperatures in the -10 to 85C range. The compact optical incremental encoder design is available with two-channel quadrature TTL squarewave outputs. The size 8 hybrid linear actuators are available in a wide variety of resolutions ranging from 0.0015mm per step to 0.04mm per step and deliver thrusts of up to 4.5kg. These models can also be microstepped for even finer resolution.
