Esholt WWTW upgrades with AUMA

AUMA electric actuators have been selected to be retrofitted at Yorkshire Water’s Esholt wastewater treatment works (WWTW) in the UK as part of a rebuild project. The modular actuation technology with fieldbus capability is being installed to operate penstocks as part of the scheme’s first development phase and will replace existing actuators, which have come to the end of their asset life. The Profibus enabled actuators with digital communication capabilities will remove the need for hard wiring to substantially increase the feedback of process information and provide a powerful communication solution. As part of AUMA’s support for the scheme, the company will work with Adams Hydraulics to retrofit its actuators on existing penstocks at the wastewater treatment works. AUMA will commission, service and maintain all its actuator products at the site.
