The European taps and valves industry congress will take place in Chantilly, 30km from Paris, from 3 to 5 May 2012. The congress is a major opportunity to learn, exchange and network. The European taps and valves industry congress will welcome Mrs Aurélie THOUET from the French Ministry of Health who will give an update on the latest work on drinking water.
Mr Martin RICHEZ from TOTAL will discuss the follow-up of petrochemical industry initiatives on valve suppliers’ quality requirements. As CEIR has developed close links with the European Commission, Mr Davide MINOTTI from European Commission Directorate General for the Environment will also speak at the meeting. He will explain the environmental policy measures linked to sanitary tapware. Two visits to technical centres are proposed during the Congress.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit either the Technical Centre of the Mechanical Industry, CETIM, in charge of many technical issues for French and also other CEIR members, or the Scientific and Technical Centre of Building, CSTB, in charge of certification and product quality testing and research.
