Executive promotions at Transmark Fcx

Transmark FCX, the leading distributor of valves and flow control equipment, has announced the promotion of three of its senior executives.
The news follows a strategic review which the €210 million revenue company has recently completed and the appointment of three highly experienced executives into key roles will play an important part in supporting the business in achieving its ambitious growth objectives.
Simon Heaton, the current Chief Executive Officer of Transmark Fcx will become Managing Director of Transmark Holdings with a focus on developing future strategy with a particular emphasis on acquisitions and potential joint ventures. Simon has been closely involved with the valve industry for over 25 years and was Chairman of Heaton Valves prior to it being acquired by Transmark in the late 1990’s.
Neil Wagstaff  will move up into the Chief Executive Officer  role at Transmark Fcx Group B.V and will have overall responsibility for all of the groups operating companies in 13 countries. Neil, a Mechanical Engineer, Educated at London Business School and a  Chartered Director has spent his entire working life within the valve industry. Prior to joining Heaton Valves in 1996 he was a director of  two other valve manufacturing companies that were part of Tomkins Plc.
Marcel Bras is to become Group Divisional Director responsible for Transmark’s operations in the UK, Germany, Thailand, Singapore and China. Marcel, who has a Masters in Business Administration is another long-standing member of the Group and has held several senior management positions . All of the appointments will be effective from 1st August 2006.
 
The company which supplies valves and related products and services to many of the world’s leading process companies embarked on the strategic review following last years acquisition by Transmark International of the Australasian and European distribution divisions of FCX International and the creation of the new company, Transmark FCX.
The new enlarged company is a key supplier in the oil, gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, heating and ventilation, ship building, power and energy and chemical sectors and has a customer base which includes many blue-chip companies. Its size and global reach have helped to differentiate it in a very competitive market and customers have benefited from having access to over €40 million of products available for immediate delivery. Other recent developments have included the opening of an office in Beijing, China in May 2006 as well as the acquisition of German company DRW Armaturen.
