Saint-Gobain Performance Plastic L+S will be exhibiting its extended Meldin product portfolio at this year’s CTI Symposium in Berlin, Germany. Their product line encompasses one of the most complete ranges of polyimide and high-performance plastics material in today’s market. The 13th CTI Symposium scheduled in December brings together about 100 experts in drives, transmissions and components along with an estimated 1100 participants from around the world to exchange the latest information on innovations and developments for automotive transmissions and drive technology.
Saint-Gobain Seals acquired L+S Kunststofftechnologie in December 2013 to further strengthen its position in high-performance and co-developed solutions internationally. The acquisition resulted in Saint-Gobain Performance Plastic L+S and a more expansive Meldin offering, whose materials are available in compression or injection moulded, machined components and basic shapes in order to provide the most benefit in customisation and design flexibility. These materials retain their critical properties over a temperature range from cryogenic through +315°C for continuous operation, and may be used intermittently up to +482°C.
