The group ICARUS/SACCAP/COYARD has decided to launch a new range of Trunnion Mounted ball Valves and Double block and bleed valves in order to meet the strongest fugitive emissions requirements provided by ISO 15848-1. To do so, an innovative sealing solution integrating multiple leak barrier has been developed together with seal specialist James Walker.
A 12in CL1500 DBB was tested at ITIS (Netherlands) in May 2015 to assess the efficiency of this new design. And the results are just impressive: Tightness Class A (the most stringent) and Endurance Class CO3 (2500 cycles) with temperature cycles between room and +93.3°C. This was achieved without any retightening or human intervention!
This means that ICARUS/SACCAP/COYARD valves are not only efficient in terms of fugitive emission, but also highly reliable.
The group’s target is to cover all its product range with FET certificates according to ISO 15848-1 Class A CO3, from 1in CL-150 to 24in CL-2500 for both single block and dbb valves, by the end of 2015.
