F.E.T. certification for valves

The ICARUS/SACCAP/COYARD group has decided to launch a new range of trunnion mounted ball valves and double block and bleed valves to meet the strongest fugitive emissions requirements provided by ISO 15848-1. To do so, an innovative sealing solution integrating a multiple leak barrier has been developed together with seal specialist James Walker.

A 12in CL1500 DBB has been tested at ITIS in May 2015 to assess the efficiency of this new design. It achieved Tightness Class A (the most stringent) and Endurance Class CO3 (2500 cycles) with temperature cycles between room and +93.3°C, without any retightening or human intervention.

This means that ICARUS/SACCAP/COYARD valves are reliable and efficient in terms of fugitive emission.

The group aims to cover all its product range with FET certificates according to ISO 15848-1 Class A CO3, from 1in CL-150 to 24in CL-2500 for both single block and dbb valves, by the end of 2015.
