Specialist flow control solution provider FCX International has announced the acquisition of SARMEF, a EUR 3 million flow control distribution business located in Nantes in Western France. SARMEF is a provider in a number of industries, including chemical, power and incinerating plants, as well as oil refining, where the company has a long-established relationship with Total, who is its largest customer. The company was previously owned and managed by Mr Bernard Pineau and his wife Mrs Michelle Pineau. Both will remain with SARMEF. Further acquisitions are planned in Europe where FCX has particularly strong relationships with suppliers and has a wide customer base.
