FCX unveils cryogenic valve

FCX Orton, part of the global FCX group of flow control solution providers, has developed a Triple Eccentric Metal Seated cryogenic valve for the expanding LNG industry. The company’s new royal butterfly valve has been in development for two years and can be used in most LNG applications, including liquefaction plants, storage tanks, terminals, tankers and re-gasification plants. The valve is the first in the world where the TRI-X sealing design has been applied on a butt-welding top entry valve body. There are other TRI-X metal-to-metal seated valve products in cryogenic configuration but FCX Orton is the first to pioneer the new configuration. The new product has undergone a rigorous programme of testing and development and a range of sizes and classes is now being produced for the LNG industry.
