FLOVEL Energy Private Limited has announced the signing of an electro-mechanical (E&M) contract for the 22 MW Roura II small hydroelectric project in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, marking a new project addition to its hydropower portfolio and the start of a new partnership in the region.
Under the contract, FLOVEL will supply and implement key electro-mechanical systems for the project, deploying its engineering expertise and manufacturing infrastructure to meet performance and reliability standards. The company stated that the award reflects continued customer confidence in its capabilities and long-term commitment to delivering robust hydropower solutions for challenging terrains.
The Roura II project is being developed by Roura Non-Conventional Energy Private Limited and is located in the Nichar subdivision of Kinnaur district, a high-altitude Himalayan region with significant small hydropower potential. The site sits at an elevation of approximately 2,200m above mean sea level and has been designed as a high-head installation.
