Flow control for compressed natural gas

FCX Thompson Valves has launched two flow-control products for applications involving compressed natural gas and compressed air. The K16 miniature dome-loaded pressure regulator was developed specifically for market applications where size, weight and accuracy are a prerequisite. It is already supplying various product configurations to manufacturers of portable fluid sampling test rigs and has recently started to supply products for compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel dispensing systems. The L08 is a pressure-maintaining valve developed for applications involving compressors, air dryers and cylinder charging. The product is designed to maintain a regulated upstream fluid pressure and has a maximum inlet pressure of 410bar and can regulate from 2-400bar. Both are new additions to the company’s Maxseal-IVP range of high performance products.
