Flowmeters for the energy sector

Katronic Technologies Ltd now offers its KATflow 220 or KATflow 120. The KATflow 220 or KATflow 120 make it possible to obtain data on liquid flow rates, temperature and energy consumption without needing to make modifications to the existing pipework. The KF220 is a portable system designed to be used by engineers anywhere on plant and is used for fault finding, commissioning and sizing heat exchangers, pumps etc. The KF120 is a stationary device which is intended to be retro-fitted to an existing pipeline and then integrated into a BMS or alternative control system. Through the use of the KATflow instruments it is possible to monitor energy consumption, to perform C.O.P measurements, to check flow rates in circulation system and to monitor the effectiveness of pumps and valves. Furthermore, as many older HVAC systems were built without the inclusion of instrumentation, the meters allow an engineer to find out what is actually occurring in a pipeline, rather than basing efficiency calculations on assumed system performance information.
