Flowserve Corp. has introduced a plug valve designed for high-pressure applications in the seawater reverse osmosis desalination industry. The corrosion-resistant Flowserve Durco PlugSeal allows for repair without requiring removal of the valve from the process line, or the need for special equipment and specially trained technicians. The valve is suitable for the special needs of valves welded into the pipeline in the seawater reverse osmosis desalination industry. Flowserve Durco PlugSeal can be repaired without being cut from the process line. The Durco PlugSeal can be welded into the pipeline as a unit. However, if the customer has a concern about damage to interior parts during the welding process, all internal components of the PlugSeal can be removed. After installation, internal components can then be re-installed before start-up.
