South Louisiana Methanol has contracted Fluor Corporation to provide engineering and design services for a potential 5,000t/day methanol project in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Fluor did not disclose the value of the contract.
South Louisiana Methanol, a gas-to-methanol project, is being developed by the Todd Corporation and ZEEP Management U.S. The project will be located at a site in St. James Parish, Louisiana, near the Mississippi River. Fluor is working to finalize the process design and complete preliminary design for the facility. Fluor’s Southern California office is leading the project with assistance from its New Delhi, India office.
