Fluoropolymer valve

Swagelok Company (Solon, Ohio, USA) has introduced a DR series radial diaphragm valve with a fluoropolymer (modified PTFE) body to complement its line of radial diaphragm valve products. Having only fluoropolymer wetted parts, the valve provides a solution in many biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, and fine chemical applications; the valve offers enhanced corrosion resistance and helps reduce problems associated with pitting and rouging in metal valves. The valve body is available in a variety of standard and special configurations with a choice of sanitary clamp and flared fitting end connections. The unique valve design facilitates multi-porting and compact manifold configurations, minimising system footprint. Available in 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch sizes, the valves are rated to 100 psig (6.8 bar) at 68 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 65 degrees Celsius).
