Milton Roy Europe projects department is about to deliver one of its biggest contracts ever signed, the first of this scale for Brazil. In order to develop its oil exports, the Brazilian Government has decided to support an intensive FPSO development plan. Oil companies then strongly invest in this process. The Petrobras company, through the Brazilian engineering company QUIP, has entrusted the execution of 6 dosing units to Milton Roy Europe aimed at equipping a platform installed on an old oil tanker. Material supplied: 6 dosing units including 43 double metallic or PTFE diaphragm pumps (mROY®, Milroyal® and Primeroyal®), nearly 900 valves and 350 instruments. Their function is to dose chemicals from 1 to 12,500l/h, from 1 to 220bars. The units are equipped with tanks from 20 to 46m3. The pumps are built in Milton Roy Europe’s French factory and the final assembly is accomplished in England, close to Manchester. This contract has been completed in one year from the study to the delivery. In addition to this 6 dosing units, Milton Roy group has also supplied 33 Injection rate control device independent injection systems for this project, manufactured by Haskel Milton Roy in Singapore. The FPSO system should be operational end of 2007.
