Frames has successfully completed and delivered six single wellhead control panels (WHCPs) for the Tempa Rossa oil field. The contract of the WHCPs is assigned to Frames by the Italian company Maire Tecnimont Group.
Tempa Rossa, an onshore field operated by TOTAL, is located in the Basilicata region in the south of Italy.
Frames’ wellhead control panels (WHCPs) are vital elements in the main control and safety systems for Tempa Rossa. Hence, a reliable solution is very important. Therefore, the six single WHCPs are built in close cooperation between the Maire Tecnimont Group’s engineering team and Frames.
Safe operation of the production location together with a local control panel (LCP) for the hydraulic oil pumps and all necessary instrumentation, the WHCPs guarantee safe operation of the production location. The panels also enable safe and reliable operation of the Xmas tree valves by providing hydraulic power and controls. The Xmas tree valves are on-off valves with a hydraulic actuator.
