Frank Parker to retire from Powell Valves

The Wm. Powell Company has announced that Frank Parker, senior VP Manning Manufacturing, will be retiring at the end of the year.

Frank has served the Powell family for over 50 years. He began his career in October 1960 at Powell’s Cincinnati brass foundry. He was promoted through supervisory positions in the plant and foundry.

In 1975, Frank was made superintendent of Powell’s new steel commodity plant. He spearheaded the construction of the new manufacturing plant in Manning, SC, which began in 1981. Frank was promoted as  VP Manufacturing in 1997 overseeing the plants in Manning and Orangeburg, SC. Powell CEO Randy Cowart have acknowledged that Frank’s leadership in South Carolina plants have helped Powell to become one of the top importer-exporters in the area.
