From Rotherham to Chile

AESSEAL®, the UK based designer and manufacturer of mechanical seals, is creating another new subsidiary in South America. This will increase its global presence to 37 branches or subsidiaries. AESSEAL Chile SA was officially created on 3 October 2003, in Santiago, Chile. Marcela Romero, an experienced mechanical engineer with a lifetime’s knowledge of the mechanical seal industry, will head the new facility. Gordon Bridge, Chief Executive said: “Chile has huge mining and pulp and paper industries which AESSEAL® are experts at sealing. We have many innovative products that can help increase productivity in these applications.” Future plans include the creation of a full AESSEAL® service centre to help develop sales as the subsidiary grows. This development follows the creation of two subsidiaries last year in South America; AESSEAL Brasil LTDA in Sao Paulo and AESSEAL Argentina SA in Buenos Aires. Chris Rea O.B.E., Managing Director and founder of AESSEAL® said, “South America offers tremendous opportunities for AESSEAL® and the new ventures will allow us to offer exceptional customer service there.”
