Froth treatment plant

Williams Valves has announced a contract with SNC Lavalin in the construction of a Froth treatment plant for Canadian Natural Resources Ltd (CNRL). Four thousand valves both forged and cast steel will be used. The contract includes gates, globes and check valves in sizes ranging from 1/2in to 30in in both the 150 and 300pd pressure class. Froth treatment dilutes a mixture of bitumen, clay and water with naphtha and mechanically separates the bitumen. The SNC Lavalin built froth treatment plant is located in Alberta and is a part of CNRL’s USD 10.8 billion dollar Horizon Project.
