Global E&C secures contract with Ithaca Energy

Global Engineering and Construction (Global E&C), Scotland’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to the energy industry, has secured a contract with Ithaca Energy (Ithaca) in the UKCS.
The contract is Global E&C’s first with Ithaca and will see the company deliver brownfield modifications across Ithaca’s UK-operated assets and will run for an initial three-year period, with the potential for further extensions.
With more than 900 personnel, Global E&C is a significant employer in the Aberdeen area and this deal will secure more than 50 onshore and offshore roles, supported by Global E&C’s integrated brownfield service division which includes survey, fabrication, engineering, construction, and commissioning expertise in-house.
On the announcement of the contract, Global E&C’s CEO, Terry Allan commented: ‘We’re delighted to share the news of this contract award as it further demonstrates our continued relevance in the EPC arena. We are extremely proud to work with the Ithaca team that continues to demonstrate its commitment to and investment in the UKCS. Our integrated brownfield delivery model is important to Ithaca due to its flexibility and responsiveness, so too is our bespoke digital eco-system, – Slingshot – which will be rolled out across Ithaca’s assets imminently.’
As the only brownfield-focused EPC provider to the UKCS, Global E&C is well-positioned to support its oil and gas customer base to improve operational efficiency from their assets and to provide the best solutions in transitioning their assets to a lower carbon footprint.
