Greenlee launches JRF-4 universal stripping tool

Greenlee introduced its new JRF-4 universal stripping tool designed for use with all 600V secondary cable jackets ranging from ½” to 3” in diameter, primary cable jackets and insulations.

The JRF-4 universal cable stripper comes in two configurations, each with its own precision-like adjustable cutting blades. The JRF-4 EPR not only addresses the primary cable jacket, but also effectively removes ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) coverings and cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulations.

The JRF-4 Universal Stripping Tool has a clamping force of up to 150 pounds that allows the user to securely capture the cable for a precise blade setting. The Delrin ball bearing rollers reduce the amount of force needed for the tool to move around and up the cable during stripping while the rollerball actuation allows the user to maintain constant contact with the clamp as it moves around the cable. “The JRF-4 Universal Stripping Tool provides a safe alternative to using blades on the jobsite”, said Ryan Berg, Greenlee product manager for Termination Tools. “This will help eliminate the number of lacerations, which are a leading cause of recordable injuries on the jobsite.”
