Orbinox UK Ltd’s DN450 (18″) ORBINOX ‘HB’ series high pressure bi-directional knife gate valve has been fitted with an extended reinforced yoke and manual bevel gearbox operator. To increase the yokes rigidity, UHMWPE blocks are fitted at predetermined intervals, which also guide the stem throughout its travel. The application demanded a ductile iron body (200 micron paint system), polished s/steel gate & EPDM seat. The valve is engineered to withstand 16 bar-g working pressure and is destined for use on a waste water treatment plant.
