Two new high-pressure filters from Parker Hannifin feature reverse flow valves to meet the growing demand for higher-flow-capacity high-pressure filters in hydraulic systems.
The reverse flow valve ensures the protection of the filter element and eliminates costly system breakdowns. Typical demanding applications for the H600 and H1000 high-pressure filters include power packs, drilling rigs, oil and gas installations, flight simulators and test rigs. The reverse flow valve is incorporated in the filter head. During normal flow direction, the fluid is filtered out-to-in through the filter element. When the flow direction is reversed, the valve allows fluid to bypass the filter element, thus avoiding the backwash of contamination during reverse flow conditions. Thus, captured contamination cannot recontaminate the system. High flow rates are not achieved at the expense of high differential pressure: the design and construction of the Parker Arlon H600 and H1000 high-pressure filters ensures a low pressure drop. The filters feature a removable end cap, equipped with a drain plug, to simplify the changing the filter element or dismantling the filter bowl. The filters feature various port arrangements: 1.5 and 2in BSP or SAE 24, and SAE 32 thread or flanges of 1.5 and 2in SAE. GDH elements with a rating of 3, 6, 10 and 20um absolute are available.
