Hayward Flow Control has announced the release of the next phase of HRS Series Industrial Electric Actuators. This latest addition to its premier actuation product line includes three phase power and torque switch options.
Hayward is introducing several levels of three phase actuators that are designed to fit applications ranging from basic control to fully optioned solutions. These various strategies allow the quarter-turn products to fit functionally and economically into most three phase applications requiring 800~177,000”lbs torque.
Torque switches are electromechanical devices that monitor the actuators’ ability to move a valve, damper or other connected piece of equipment. If some foreign object were to interfere with the movement of the device, the torque switches will disconnect the drive motor to protect the motor, actuator transmission and the attached device. Torque switches are optional on the 800~20,000”lb units, and standard on the 30,000”lb and larger units.
Typical applications or installations include, but are not limited to waste water and water treatment, chemical transfer and processing, aquatic and animal life support systems, mining and mineral processing, HVAC, pulp and paper, food & beverage, marine and other demanding environments.
