Hyde Marine records 400th Hyde GUARDIAN BWT order

Hyde Marine announced that it recorded its four-hundredth order for its Hyde GUARDIAN® Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS), which will be installed on a tugboat for an articulated tug barge (ATB) being built by VT Halter Marine at the company’s Pascagoula, Mississippi, facility. The Hyde GUARDIAN Gold (HG60GS) unit was sold by W&O Supply, Hyde Marine’s exclusive sales distributor in the U.S. and Canada.

According to John Platz, president of Hyde Marine, the announcement comes on the heels of the ballast water treatment company achieving its three-hundredth order in early 2014. “The rapid pace at which we are adding orders, particularly since spring 2014 is an indication more ship-owners and operators are seeking to responsibly address ballast water treatment compliance”, he said. “And, we are pleased to collaborate with W&O and leverage their experience in helping end-users better understand the technical advantages of the Hyde GUARDIAN Ballast Water Treatment System and, in particular, the benefits it provides.”

Hyde Marine ballast water treatment systems are ideal for vessel applications that have short runs, operate in multiple salinities, or require quick turnarounds.
