Hydraulic actuated globe valves installed at LPIC, Oman

AMPO POYAM VALVES’ 20″ and 600 lbs hydraulic actuated globe valves have been installed at Liwa Plastic Industries Complex (LPIC) – EPC4 NGL 32″ Pipeline, a 301 km gas loopline located in Oman.

The Indian Engineering and Construction major, Punj Lloyd Ltd has been the EPC of this project, but the plant is currently owned by Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (ORPIC) and Oman Gas Co (OGC).

Liwa Plastics Industries Complex is a transformational project that will improve Orpic’s product mix and business model, and support the development of a downstream plastics industry in Oman.

LPIC is a steam cracker project which will process light ends produced in Orpic’s Suhar Refinery and its Aromatics plant as well as optimize Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) extracted from currently available natural gas supplies. Its concept lies in rerouting elements of existing production in combination with additional purchased feedstocks to deliver high value polymer products for the local and international marketplaces.

In this large complex, more than one hundred AMPO POYAM VALVES’ globe and check valves for cryogenic and NACE services are already installed.
