IMI acquires control valve business

In a move to strengthen its presence in the Asian market, international engineering group IMI will acquire the control valves business unit of ABB KK (Japan), a severe service control valve provider in the Japanese power industry. The business unit designs, manufactures, and services control valves in Japan. IMI is the parent company of CCI (USA), which also manufactures severe service control valves, actuation, silencers, and resistors for coal, oil, gas, and nuclear power plants; the oil and gas-producing and hydrocarbon industries; and pulp and paper plants worldwide.
