Amot Controls has redesigned and enhanced its three-way temperature control valve, making it more economical and compact while also reducing unit weight and installation costs, and at the same time upgrading performance with a 70% increase in flow capability.
A new enhanced control system has also been introduced to further improve this valve. It comprises a new PID process controller incorporating temperature dead band, remote output alarms as standard and logic outputs to drive 25A solid state relays having significantly higher performance than standard relays. These SSRs provide excellent transient performance and switching life while also eliminating the arcing associated with traditional relays thanks to their zero volt switching. A temperature sensor is also included. The valves are ideally suited for both mixing and diverting applications, and are typically employed for fluid temperature control in large diesel and gas engines.
