India: turnkey contract

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has announced that it has won a turnkey contract from Damodar Valley Corp. to set up two 500MW units at Mejia thermal power station in West Bengal. The project is to be commissioned during the Eleventh Plan period of 2007-2012. The scope of work includes manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of steam turbines, generators, boilers, associated auxiliaries, electrical, controls, instrumentations, switchyard and civil works.
