INEOS awards two contracts to Score Group for CCS projects

Score Group has secured two major contract wins with INEOS Energy, underscoring its growing influence in Europe’s decarbonization and emissions management sectors.

The company will deliver advanced valve and leak detection solutions for multiple projects, including Project Greensand, one of the continent’s most significant carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives.

Under the new contract, Score will supply 480 custom-engineered manual and actuated valves for the Greensand development in the Danish North Sea.

Each unit is designed to ensure durability and reliability under demanding offshore conditions. The award follows months of close technical collaboration with INEOS engineers to tailor solutions that optimise performance and long-term safety.

Project Greensand represents a cornerstone of Denmark’s and the EU’s climate strategy, initially targeting the permanent storage of 400,000 tons of CO2 annually, with expansion potential to 8 million tons per year by 2030.

The agreement further cements Score’s role as a key enabler of carbon reduction infrastructure in Europe.

The contract follows a series of recent successes for Score, including three new framework agreements in Denmark to provide Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) services for INEOS Energy’s offshore assets, Ørsted’s Nybro Gas Treatment Plant, and Energinet’s gas storage facilities at Lille Torup and Stenlille.

The LDAR programs will help operators comply with the EU Regulation 2024/1787, which mandates stricter methane and emissions monitoring standards across industrial assets.

Score will partner with asset55, its long-standing digital solutions collaborator, to enhance these services through advanced data integration. Asset55’s Operate platform will serve as the projects’ digital backbone, combining emissions dashboards, survey data management, and visual documentation to ensure transparent, real-time reporting.
