simulationHub’s Autonomous Valve CFD brings a unique engineering design problem for all keen designers. The International Valve Design Challenge 2019 will offer an opportunity to use the power of simulationHub’s upfront CFD platform to tap into accurate fluid flow insights and come up with innovative and improved high-performance valve designs.
The challenge: redesign a DN250(10”) Double Offset Butterfly Valve. Contestants shall be provided with a base design of the valve. Along with it, a guidelines document will be available. This document will contain the complete procedure to participate in the competition, guidelines to modify the valve design along with the dimensional constraints concerning API, ASME and, AWWA standards. 
The objective is to modify the valve design such that the valve will be able to achieve a maximum Cv value with a minimal disc weight while maintaining its structural strength.
The winners and best performers will be awarded and receive amazing prizes. Also, all the participants will get global recognition for their innovative work through our social media outlets. simulationHub encourages all bright valve designers, CAD engineers, and innovators to participate and take up this challenge.
