Kitz develops stainless steel

Kitz Corporation, Japan’s largest manufacturer of valves, has developed a duplex phase stainless steel that has achieved lower production costs compares to Single Phase Stainless Steel ASTM A351 CF3M. The Kitz KDPV23 Alloy achieves the increased corrosion cracking resistance properties of a ferritic stainless steel, while also having the increased machinability and weldability properties exhibited by austenitic stainless steels. It has a superior mechanical strength (1.4 times) of CF3M. Kitz Corporation with its own foundries has developed a range of stainless and high nickel alloy steels to provide valves capable of withstanding harsh environments and severe service.
